The Head of the Human Resource Directorate works under the Registrar and performs the following functions: leads in the development and implementation of the human resource policies of the University, provides strategic planning with respect to the human resource needs of the University, ensures the timely renewal and termination of employment contracts, monitors and evaluates the performance of employees of the University, institutes a system for continuing education and in-service training for employees of the University, manages and advises on the collective bargaining processes and collective agreements with unionized staff, and discharges any other assignment that the Registrar shall deem necessary.
