The Interim Vice Chacellor is the Academic and Administrative Head and the Chief Disciplinary Officer of the University - the Executive Head of the University.

The Pro Vice Chancellor deputizes the Vice Chancellor and oversees the smooth running of academic and outreach programmes, and any other duties that may be delegated by the Vice Chancellor.
The Registrar is the head of the administrative departments (Registry) of the University.
The Office of the Interim Registrar provides administrative support and services to students and staff of the University; regarding teaching, learning, research and community services.
The Library is a major scholarly resource for the University and surrounding communities. It comprises the main Library and the Bukere Campus Library which is situated at the heart of the Upper East Regional capital, Bolgatanga.The University Library, at its current location (Sumbrungu Campus), was opened to students and the general public in November, 2010.
The Directorate is responsible for all financial activities in the University. It is responsible for reporting on the financial management of the University’s resources in support of teaching, learning, research, administrative activities and corporate social responsibilities.
