The Dean of Students is responsible for the welfare of students within the Bolgatanga Technical University, and will act in “loco parentis” for them whilst they are in the University.

The Office of the Dean of Students is to enhance students’ personal development and overall experience, by ensuring that students activities are geared towards equipping them with requisite competencies and leadership skills, while on campus of the University. 

The Office collaborates with other institutions to build students’ technical/vocational capacity through exchange programmes, to enhance their learning and success.

The Office also maintains cordial relations among students’ groups, through stakeholder support and innovative programmes; to enable them benefit from their university experience.

The Office is envisioned to be recognized for excellence in the delivery of student’s welfare services and to foster a friendly environment that is inclusive, safe and conducive for learning.

The Office mission is to provide exemplary student services, by responding to students’ grievances and allegations of conducts or violations, whilst developing and educating students through collaborative and leadership programmes.

The Office goal is to collaborate with students, faculty and staff to promote the practice of institutional values, with emphasis on ethical conduct, mutual respect and civility. 

The Office objective is to deliver excellent student welfare services, and promote a friendly university community that recognizes every individual’s worth and dignity, and values the rights and responsibilities of students and staff.
